The Great Self-Care Myth

Standard "self-care" is a dead-end street.

Take a minute to Google "self-care." You'll find the same 10 tired suggestions on every page. Eat better, sleep more, meditate, enjoy your spiritual practice, spend time with friends. So, stuff we already know we should be doing. The thing is, you don't need another agenda item. What you need is to learn how to weather the caregiving storms by developing real, sustainable peace. That's what this course teaches.

This Time, It's Personal

This course comes straight from my heart, caregiver

Hi everyone. Thanks for checking out this course. I wrote this one to share the skills I've had to learn to cope with not just caregiving but with life. I've been through severe depression; it almost took my life a couple of times. Radical acceptance is the tool I was given, by many of my greatest teachers in many different ways, to stay in the game and find peace. Taking a yoga class or spending time with friends are great activities, but the relief they provide is fleeting. Real self-care is not about activities you do: it's about acquiring the skills you need to cope, survive, and thrive with whatever the moment presents you. That's what this course offers.
